God’s Trombones is a series of 7 sermons written by James Weldon Johnson, published in 1927 as a book of poems. These are are accompanied by art pieces created by Aaron Douglas. Arnold Pinnix has developed these pieces for his solo live performances.

About Arnold Pinnix

Arnold Pinnix began his theater career in North Carolina with plays, shows, radio appearances and ads. He was discovered by Jesse Jackson, relocated to New York where he worked in The Cosby Show and Saturday Night Live, and later joined the Reverend Al Sharpton in his quest for social justice as Director of Arts and Culture at the National Action Network. He currently operates Arnold Arts, a performance and theater arts company with programming, live shows, training and consultation.
